About the workshop:
Three.js is a cross-browser JavaScript library used to create and display animated 3D computer graphics in a web browser using WebGL. During this workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of three.js. We will start out by taking a look at what three.js is and how it has impacted modern software development. Next, we will jump right into learning the building blocks needed to create a 3D scene. Finally, we will put our new knowledge into practice by creating a three.js scene in which a player can walk around within a basic 3D space. This is a practical project that provides a basic foundation for many first-person games such as RPGs. It can also be a great portfolio booster!
Prerequisites:
- Bring a laptop. We will be using Codepen to avoid differences in work environments
- Participants will need a free account on Codepen
Levels:
All levels are welcome. This is a beginner class for three.js fundamentals so advance developers may already know the info. It could be a good refresher 😃
