Itaru Hirama "Photo Songs"

Itaru Hirama (born 1963- ) is a photographer who has photographed numerous artists, including for Tower Records’ "No Music, No Life" campaign and is recognized for creating a new style never seen before with his "portraits with a sense of dynamism, as if you could hear the music.

This exhibition, themed “photography and music," brings together more than 200 works, ranging from his early work, which marks the 30th anniversary of his career as a photographer in 2020, to a vast collection of portraits of artists taken for “No Music, No Life" and CD jackets.

The exhibition will also include Min Tanaka's "Place Dance" series, which he has continued to photograph as his lifework, and works taken at the Hirama Photo Studio Tokyo, where visitors will be reminded that photography plays a major role as a "place to weave family memories. The exhibition will be presented from Shibuya with new works added to and reconstructed from the exhibition held in Kyoto and Roppongi in 2022.
