It may seem intimidating and even discouraging🙀 at first, but overcoming these fears will allow you to leap forward into obtaining that dream vacancy. 💯
In collaboration with COTO Japanese Academy, our chosen panelists 👩👨 will be sharing their insight on how to face, and ace ✅, that upcoming job application from when you construct your resumé to asking your own questions🙋 at the end of the interview.
Sam has a wide range of marketing experience in marketing for language learning, working in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo (italki.com, japanesepod101.com, cotoacademy).
He was also embedded as a sole foreigner for 3 years in a Japanese market entry consulting firm. He holds a BA in Marketing from Columbia College Chicago, and an MBA in international business from Tsukuba University.
Sam loves running ultra marathons and learning languages.
After obtaining Cambridge-certified ESL certificate, worked as in-company business English instructor for banks, pharmaceuticals, and consulting firms, especially to HR managers.
Transitioned to HR generalist at an autonomous driving startup after coming back to Tokyo.
Current role includes: coaching students on writing resumes, prepping for interviews, negotiating salaries, organizing hiring events.
Animal lover, picture book enthusiast.
