Intro to Figma Online May 12

Meet Figma, a collaborative interface design tool.

Looking for an alternative to Photoshop or Sketch or just looking to try out a new design tool? In this workshop, you’ll learn the ins and outs of Figma, a new online browser tool for designers (and lovers of design) that allows for easy collaboration with your team.

Through hands-on exercises, we’ll build a simple project together to learn how to use styles, components, prototyping tools, and live preview – all within Figma itself. You’ll also be able to immediate collaborate with others as you go!

Please note:

This workshop is highly interactive with group activities and discussions throughout. To participate you will need to:

  • Have your camera turned on for the entire session
  • Have an accessible microphone
  • Be in a quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions
  • Strong internet connection

  • Get to know the interface and tools of Figma
  • Build a design in your free Figma account

In preparation, please download Zoom.

Create a Figma account (it’s free).

General familiarity with other design tools like Sketch will be helpful.

This session is not recorded however, you will receive the instructor’s slides following the session.
