Junior UX Strategist (Remote) – SimpsonScarborough


Job Description

We are looking for a smart and energetic strategist to join our growing digital team. As a junior digital strategist at our company, you will be responsible for supporting a mix of user experience and content strategy deliverables.


  • Support UX team on all phases of work, including the development of information architecture strategies, journey maps, page flows, wireframes, and sitemaps
  • Contribute to and organize documentation of business and user requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows
  • Conduct audits for content inventory purposes and evaluates competitive user experiences for learnings to share with the project team
  • Support user testing activities and deliverables by helping to organize, plan, moderate and report on usability tests, focus groups, tree testing, and/or remote testing
  • Support the senior design and senior content leads to collaborate on client-specific strategies
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the latest technologies & platforms to produce technically sound solutions
  • Evaluate existing websites and social channels and provide discovery insights.
  • Execute basic Google Analytics reporting as directed
  • Assist in the set-up of A/B testing using Google Optimize


  • 1-2 or more years of digital UX experience.
  • Familiarity with standard UX software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and track record of reporting outputs. GA certification a plus.
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge and experience working in content management systems – WordPress and Drupal preferred.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Passionate about resolving user pain points
  • Willingness to help out in any way with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information in verbal, written or visual form to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work independently
  • Passion for all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
