Job Description
The primary responsibility is to plan and execute marketing initiatives for ABJ’s retail business. Working with Retail Product Marketing (RPM) team member, the role supports the firm’s integrated marketing strategies for retail business.
Responsibilities
Closely work with Head of RPM, team members, Retail Relationship Managers and other related teams to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to support the sales activities of the firm’s products and meet business opportunities. The successful candidate will plan and implement production of marketing tools including investment story telling tools through sales materials, reports, videos, and websites.
Expected Specific Roles
- Plan and implement production of marketing tools including investment story telling through, sales materials, reports, videos, and websites
- Plan and implement promotional webinars and campaigns
- Participate in vendor selections and manage ongoing relationships
- Vendor management including ad agencies, design-houses, printing companies and web management companies
Qualifications
- Experience of creation of sales materials, reports, and other promotion tools
- Knowledge of macro economy, financial markets, and investments
- Experience in asset management industry and knowledge and understanding of the mutual fund business including the law, regulation, structure, business practice, competitors’ landscape, etc.
- Project management and vendor management skill
- Effective communication skill to work with people at all levels inside/outside of the firm.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, idea-generative, and team-oriented
Required Skill set/Competency/Job Knowledge/Experience
Quantitative
- More than 3 years of experience in the asset management industry (buy-side)
- More than 1 year of experience in product marketing and/or retail marketing
- Bilingual. Excellent oral and written communications skill both in English (TOEIC Score more than 800) and Japanese.
- PC literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualitative
- Excellent project management and vendor management skill
- Well-developed creative thinking
- A broad understanding of the asset management industry, in particular, wide range of marketing tools and materials for international products
- Teamwork Mindset
Professional Qualification
- CMA (CFA is better) or equivalent level of knowledge on investment will be preferred.
- Candidates should have solid knowledge about investment theory, investment technique, approach, style, disciplines, technical terminology, understanding of global financial markets, etc., which is essential for him/her to produce the attractive and effective marketing tools/materials.
