Job Description

Since its JP launch in May 2015, over 20,000 merchants have already installed this service and this business is growing much faster than any other country and our business plan. Amazon decided to invest more resource to further accelerate this business in JP and double or triple the size of the business. Thus, Amazon Pay team is seeking an experienced, business development and partner manager/account manager for Amazon Pay in Japan. This new role will be responsible for developing new merchant relationship and supporting business development strategies to help Amazon Pay enter into new verticals and create new use cases for its Amazon Pay service.


Responsibilities

  • Manage business relations with large merchants/retailers who will install Amazon Pay service
  • Support complex contract negotiations and sales pipeline
  • Manage Solution Provider who develop plug-in module to adopt Amazon Pay and support their clients to install Amazon Pay
  • Be accountable for driving, measuring, and reporting on key inputs and outputs in Salesforce.com and other reporting systems
  • Support to generate incremental transaction volume, payment volume, and buyer and seller awareness through large, strategic client management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in B2B business development or complex customer engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Japanese)
  • Excellent x-group collaboration skills, ability to impact and influence outcomes in complex environment
  • Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Online payments and/or e-commerce experience
  • English
