Position Title : Digital Acquisition - Marketing Executive

Job Description:

We are Digital Acquisition team at American Express and responsible for acquiring new customers through digital channels. Digital Acquisition is responsible for acquiring new card members through various marketing channels and content, functioning a key role for our business growth by continually expanding quality customer base. A candidate will join one of its teams which manages a referral to target existing card holders to refer their friends, and also manages young professional program to students who have made a job offer. This position is responsible all of the marketing process (planning, execution, creating promotion and communication, budget controlling, customer caring, negotiation with related stakeholders). And also a candidate needs to be accountability to present for the plans and performances. This position needs high sense of responsibility and speed, and high communication skill due to managing huge amount of budget, negotiating internal and external stakeholders like global team members and outside advertising agencies. In order to achieve the goal, result oriented with improving marketing skill, analytical & logical thinking and customer-oriented mindset are critical.


Responsibilities

While the mission of this position is primarily to expand and optimize the refer-a-friend program, where existing customers refer new customers to us. However, the position is also subject to compliance with laws and regulations and appropriate internal processes to not only achieve the established goals, but also to achieve the goals.

Responsibilities include:

(1) Profit-oriented new customer acquisition activities

  • Execute new customer acquisition activities for all of our products
  • Promote new customer acquisition activities that are profitable for the company and maximize cost-effectiveness
  • Expand the scale of the refer-a-friend program and implement the PDCA cycle.

(2) Relationship building

  • Communicate appropriately both verbally and via email, communication tools
  • Build appropriate relationships and communication with stakeholders within the local internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate and build relationships with overseas teams at UK/US/India etc.. (English based)
  • Build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders on ad-hoc project basis.

(3) Marketing plan development, execution and analysis

  • Design and plan new offers and campaigns, and bring them through to the execution phase
  • Develop optimal communications for prospects while utilizing knowledge and expertise in digital marketing
  • Execute the plan in compliance with laws and regulations as well as the company's established processes.
  • Analyze the executed plan and apply it to the next campaign or measure 

Qualifications

  • Experienced at least 3 years of digital marketing background
  • Experienced creative productions
  • Experienced promotion and planning
  • Good communication skill in both Japanese and English (both written and verbal)
  • Good computer skills/familiarity of computer usage
  • Proficiency in MS Office, notably Excel and PowerPointAnalytical skills and data driven, but also with the creative thinking
  • Ability to identify and act on issues that may impact customer experience
  • Excellent team player – build consensus and bring focus in a cross functional environment
  • Motivated to proactively learn new business models, methods, processes, etc.
  • Logical thinking / strategic planning skills
  • Self-motivator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferable

  • Knowledge with credit card industry or financial industry
