As Project Manager, you will be a member of the Project Team at Motor Vehicle Industry Business Line.

The Project Team is providing the assembly solution to the customer (from single station with assembly tool to more complex projects with jigs, positioning, vision system, semi or full automation, and related software).

Your mission is to propose and successfully deliver the customized solution to the customers.

You will have interactions with colleagues in Japan from sales, service and product marketing teams but also internationally with our application center in China and our headquarter in Sweden.

Our main target customer is Japanese OEMs, Tier1, Heavy Truck & Bus, Machine Tool Builders.

Reports to: Project Management Manager

Responsibilities

1. Analyze and understand the customer specification and requirement for the new business opportunities.
2. Propose and quote the right solution by integrating both Atlas Copco standard equipment and customized solutions.
3. Together with the sales team convince the customer, demonstrate expected value and return of investment.
4. Coordinate the successful delivery of the projects with internal and external parties (mechanical design, application engineering, field service engineer, product marketing, etc…), keep customer informed throughout the project
5. Keep close control of budget, schedule, quality, risk, progress, etc.
6. Get the customer acceptance at the end of the project
7. Ensure that projects are correctly handed over to the service department when the projects completed.
8. Handle several projects at the same time.
9. Implement a process of continuous improvement

Qualifications

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience, or 3+ years of project management experience at the manufacturing industry in B2B. Experience in motor vehicle industry and assembly system is a plus.

Knowledge/Skill/Education

• PC skill is a must
• Driver’s license is plus
• 2D CAD and 3D CAD skill is plus
• Project Management certification is plus
• University degree preferred.

Language

• Fluent Japanese - Business level English

Local language must be used for business discussion.
