Senior Data Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Data Consultant in Japan to extend our team of professionals who can help our customers achieve their digital transformation through data in various industries. Responsibilities

• Plan and execute elicitation/discovery activities to engage both business and IT stakeholders
• Perform data discovery, data assessment, and data profiling
• Prototype business needs and validate prototypes with business stakeholders before sending them to mass production using mock-ups/prototyping/data visualization tools
• Conduct Sprint review sessions or UAT with customer stakeholders
• Work in collaboration with customer stakeholders/delivery management/technical leads in the design phase of the data products that should address the business needs
• Prepare post-development / post-production materials to support stakeholders in increasing the adoption of deliverables. (e.g., training/training materials/marketing materials)

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in working with requirements on BI/Data/Analytical projects (gathering, presenting, estimating, prioritizing, etc.)
• Japanese speaking is must (Native level) & English (Business)
• Good ability to translate business needs into data requirements as a Product Owner/Business Analyst (incl. proficiency in validating and visualizing data requirements to customers)
• Experience in end-to-end data and analytics project delivery as part of the team (for example data visualization/reporting/BI, advanced analytics solutions) utilizing Agile and waterfall apps
• Experience in working with data profiling and data discovery tools and using industry best practices
• Ability to take ownership of the end result, and to help developers to get there
• Good understanding of Proof of Concept/Minimum Viable Product/Minimum Loveable Product terms
• Excellent communication skills including an ability to manage customer expectations, and present and explain project deliverables to senior stakeholders onsite and offsite. An ability to work individually or in a team environment without supervision is preferred
• Experience in working with business and IT stakeholders, as well as end-users

• Industry expertise (Finance / Insurance / Oil and Gas / Supply Chain / Marketing / Pharmaceutical)
• Experience in acting as Product Owner / Data Product Owner roles on analytical projects
• Hands-on experience with one or more wireframing, and prototyping tools (e.g., using Figma)
• Development expertise in building data visualizations using Tableau / Power BI / any modern data visualization tool
