Job Description

Fender Music Corporation is seeking a Creative Manager for our Tokyo office. Our brand mission is to accompany each player at every stage with products and brand experiences that fuel the pursuit of musical expression. 


  • Lead the video ideation, strategy, planning, production, editing and publishing processes
  • Drive demand for product and build/sustain community engagement over time
  • Work with high-profile artists and influencers – understand how to mine artists and influencers for insights that inform creative
  • Work across critical areas of traditional and new interactive design, including web, mobile, UX, animation, social, video and rich media experiences
  • Provide unique design insights and solutions in collaboration with internal clients
  • Oversee best practices in visual style and brand consistent messaging
  • Manage budgets, vendors, a team member, timelines and projects while collaborating across departments
  • Other duties as assigned


Business Knowledge, Skill Requirements, and Desired Attributes

  • Working knowledge of modern design fundamentals and application across all consumer touchpoints
  • Comfortable delivering internal and external creative marketing presentations and concepts to multiple constituents
  • Must be comfortable working within an inter-dependent, collaborative environment where creativity and insights can (and will) come from anywhere within the company, and fresh ideas and concepts are encouraged on a daily basis
  • Drive in the delivery of all aspects of a campaign in order to ensure excellent execution is achieved
  • Technically savvy, including rich media, use of graphic, video editing and other software tools (i.g. Adobe CS: Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, Sketch)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a passion for innovation, creativity and perfection
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Conversant in current technologies and an active appetite to learn about new things

Education and/or Certifications and/or Training

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

Minimum Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience, for respected international brand or creative agencies
  • 5 years proven experience creating and delivering concepts that create demand, build brands and drive engagement
