Responsibilities

The Associate Project Manager will work under the direction of the Project Manager and / or Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of ongoing projects.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Serve as a single point of contact for project accountability, planning, communication for multiple customers
  • Successful delivery of projects based on scope, schedule, and budget
  • Work with the project team to Record, triage, track and escalate customer issues
  • Following Liferay’s Services methodology for delivery
  • Effectively manage tracking status and resolutions to help the project stay on course to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Managing scope and change control through project phases, stages and milestones
  • Develop project deliverables, status reports, and other work products including project plans, schedules, and documentation to customers
  • Lead customer meetings and product demonstrations
  • Develop and document customer requirements
  • Release planning and coordination within project teams
  • Help high-performance teams and individuals to track through progress and clear any project roadblocks
  • Proactively communicate a clear picture to team members of what project success looks like, and work with customer leadership to build the comprehensive plan to get there
  • Take ownership of tasks assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile/Waterfall Project Management Methodologies.
  • Passion about personal development, continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Certification (such as Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional (PMP)®)
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft product suites
  • Assist with project requirements gathering 
  • Ability to speak and write Japanese fluently
