ROLE / JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a mid-senior Digital Designer in Tokyo to contribute to our rapid growth in Asia.

As a Digital Designer, you’ll develop your existing skills by working with the design team in APAC on a range of ambitious and innovative projects. You’ll be responsible for helping to drive the creative direction of campaigns and possess an understanding of typography, layout, animation, UI/UX in a cross-device responsive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients and campaign partners to design and build ads
  • Advise clients and internal sales team on design and build direction based on the objectives and KPIs of the brief
  • Balance looks and performance, with technical and publisher requirements
  • Work closely with operational teams to optimize creatives for different publishers, devices and environments
  • Create demos and supporting graphics for sales pitches
  • Work on new ideas and develop new products with the internal Studio team
  • Manage workload independently and deliver results within a deadline
  • Present creative ideas and proposals to local clients and agencies to support the sales team as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of digital design experience
  • BA/BS degree in Art/Design or other related field
  • Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Understanding of responsive design for mobile
  • Fundamental knowledge of animation and keyframing
  • Fundamental understanding of UI/UX principles (work experience in UI/UX is a big plus)
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JS (more advanced coding skills an advantage)
  • Familiarity with digital ad platforms (Celtra, Doubleclick Studio, Sizmek, etc) a plus
  • Experience with 3D modelling a plus
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
  • Confident listener, communicator and presenter whilst staying humble
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative manner based on shared trust and respect
  • Committed to over-deliver on clients’ expectations and earn their trust
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time and work-flow management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Experience with mobile ad tech industry a plus
  • Business-level Japanese and English required
