Job Description
monoya K.K. is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join as a core member of our team. This role isn’t just about shipping code — it’s about shaping the technical foundation and scaling a product that solves deep inefficiencies in the B2B manufacturing ecosystem.
You’ll own architecture, build fast, and work closely with the founding team to prototype, validate, and iterate in tight loops. As we move beyond MVP, you’ll help evolve monoya into a robust technology company and grow into the CTO role as we see fit.
Responsibilities
- Own technical vision and system architecture across the full stack
- Build fast and iteratively: develop APIs, frontends, and infrastructure to bring product hypotheses to lifeLead product-first development: collaborate on ideas that tackle B2B order flow friction and simplify cross-border trade
- Scale the stack and team as the product matures — make smart, pragmatic tech decisions that balance speed with sustainability.
- Work across platforms:
- MVP built on Bubble (frontend) and Python (API)
- Live B2B wholesale site powered by Shopify → monoya.com
- Contribute to company-building: be part of key product and business model decisions with a 360° view — tech, market, and customer pain

What we’re looking for
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership in full-stack development, architecture, and infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with high-velocity, hypothesis-driven product development
- Comfort working independently in English and/or Japanese (Slack is bilingual)
- Ability to execute in uncertainty and iterate fast in startup environments.
Bonus Points
- Experience in SaaS or software-first startups
- Past roles as CTO, Tech Lead, or VPoE at an early-stage company
- Versatility in modern stacks (Python, Go, TypeScript, etc.)
- Experience launching products from scratch and scaling engineering orgs

We’re reinventing how manufacturing companies grow, starting by digitising the OEM workflow and enabling high-quality Japanese makers to access international markets with speed and scale, and vice versa.
With one product live and another in development, we’re entering a growth phase and building out our founding engineering team.
