Nike Japan is hiring for a Running Brand Specialist to join our Tokyo-based Nike Japan Marketing team. Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As a member of the Nike Japan Consumer Brand Management team, you’ll be involved in leading brand strategy and driving innovation, concepts, product, key moments and editorial stories from brief to plan across our Nike Japan Marketing offense. This role will bring to life our annual brand architecture for Running, and help to drive brand strategy through to cross-functional execution through our seasonal and daily initiatives. Activities of the role include support of the Brand Manager and team to gain consumer insight, learn the ideation process and product integration into seasonal planning, support development of seasonal programming, support management of asset development and distribution across multiple channels and support of the Brand Manager to deliver integrated marketing plans and managing campaign progress measurement, including recapping and de-briefing. This role will also lead and manage some key tactical executions that deliver on the overall integrated marketing plan. Success will be measured on increases in brand strength, market share growth, traffic to Nike platforms, sell-through of key products, acquisition, engagement and retention of Nike members.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

In this role you will report directly into the Brand Manager of Performance on the Nike Japan Consumer Brand Management team. You will begin as an individual contributor to fuel consumer demand and build our long-term connection with consumers. You will partner with our Japan Marketing leaders, the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography and Global Brand Marketing teams across Nike to build more effective and efficient ways to encourage and connect with athletes. Your key internal partners are the Consumer Direct Marketing Team, Brand Creative Team, Sports Marketing Team, Integrated Media Team, Catalyst Team and SCI Teams. Your key external partners are creative agencies, consumer research agencies and communities.


Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a closely related field
  • Minimum two years of experience in either brand building/marketing, consumer marketing or related experience in digital marketing and/or retail marketing including cross-functional business acumen
  • Genuine connection to and deep understanding of Running (and other sports), culture, fashion and youth trends in the Japan marketplace with an interest in growing sport across underserved communities
  • Ability to think big picture first, work cross functionally, have a curiosity for consumer insights/behaviors and multi-task
  • A team-first mindset
  • Minimum business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English:both written and verbal
