Job Description

SGK is a global-scale packaging solutions and brand experience company.

Our clients are mainly foreign companies and major domestic manufacturers. You will be involved with brands that everyone knows and has heard of. Help us design product packaging for a variety of brands, including shampoo, stationery, beverages, and more.

SGK has worked on many projects including localization of global brands for Japan, overseas products for Japanese brands, and creative design for domestic products.

A few months after submission, you may actually see the product on sale in a supermarket or drugstore. We hope you will join us in experiencing the excitement of that moment.

Responsibilities

Design and production of packaging.

We are looking for someone who can make design proposals logically, which is a characteristic of SGK.

Mainly, we would like you to assist us in developing overseas brands in Japan.

Alternatively, we would also like to ask you to create designs for overseas expansion of Japanese brands or Japanese originals.

We need to create a package that is acceptable in the Japanese market while exploring true localization and Japanese insight.

You will be in charge of production while understanding the client's brief, why the design proposal was made, and considering print reproducibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in package design production (at least 3 years of work experience)
• At least 3 years of experience working with Illustrator and Photoshop
• Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:

− Bilingual in Japanese and English (Japanese: native, English: level of ability to participate in business emails, presentations, and brand strategy meetings)
− Experience in creating FMCG package designs
− Design agency, freelance, or DTP experience
− Experience building brand and design strategies

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
