Job Description

Release Engineering targets to deliver product changes to SmartNews users as fast and safely as possible, focusing on providing the necessary tools, infrastructure, and processes to facilitate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.


Responsibilities

  • Implement reliable infrastructure to support a rapid development and release process across multiple domains (WEB, mobile, back-end)
  • Design and implement technical systems to support the best in the industry release process
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the board, anticipate their needs, and drive adoption of the improvements

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Full stack development
  • Languages: TypeScript, Java, Python
  • Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design, and unit testing techniques
  • Experience with CI/CD, ideally on a customized cloud setup
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure set up and infrastructure as code approaches (AWS, GCP, etc)
  • Good communication and proactivity
  • Good ownership and leadership skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams 
  • Business level communication in English

Nice to have experiences/skills

  • ML/LLM experience, custom agents, ML models training, etc
  • Mobile development (Android, iOS, ReactNative)
  • Build systems (Gradle, Xcode, Turbo, etc)
