Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager with enterprise B2C e-commerce experience in Japan to lead complex e-commerce projects from conception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, budgets, and staff, ensuring the highest level of quality and client satisfaction. Your expertise will be vital in guiding project teams and managing stakeholder relationships. 


Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage a range of e-commerce projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions, analyze client needs, and document requirements clearly and concisely.
  • Process Mapping and Improvement: Analyze and map client business processes, identifying areas for improvement or enhancement through our digital solutions.
  • Team Management: Direct and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring professional growth.
  • Staff Allocation: Effectively allocate and manage staff across projects, optimizing productivity and efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and manage expectations of all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

The Plant is looking for both Project Managers and Senior Project Managers and will offer either position to successful candidates based on their skills and experience.


Qualifications

Candidate will be directly evaluate base on the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with experience working as an external consultant on complex projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors;
  • Strong track record of successful project delivery using problem-solving and analytical skills as well as project management methods and tools.
  • Knowledge of and experience with enterprise-level eCommerce (EC), content management (CMS), or customer relationship management (CRM) systems;
  • Native level in English;
  • Working proficiency in Japanese;

Strong candidates also have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in project management, with experience in e-commerce or digital transformation projects.
  • PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certification is not required but preferred.
  • Degree or demonstrated competency in Computer Science or related field.
