Job Description

Disney+ analysis role in Japan to track and share the business performance and the market trends with all Disney+ functional teams to facilitate data-driven decision making


Responsibilities

  • Design KPIs and operational metrics beneficial for the Disney+ teams
  • Develop dashboards to visualize on-platform data with BI tools
  • Design and run surveys to track business performance and consumer trends
  • Prepare the holistic market reports to capture the key trends of both the overall SVOD market and the Disney+ performance to improve data literacy and facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Work closely with each functional team such as marketing, partnership, programming, lifecycle, finance, and strategy, and discuss key issues and provide insight by leveraging multiple data sources
  • Collaborate cross-regionally with the analysis, research and business insight teams in APAC and other regions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a highly-analytical environment (e.g. big-data analysis, strategy and operations, or other roles that require a blend of analytical, operations, and heavy cross-functional interaction)
  • 3+ years of experience working in the entertainment/digital media company or passion and familiarity with Japanese content and the entertainment industry
  • Experience in big data analysis with SQL, simple modelling with Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau/Looker is a must
  • Experience in Python or other statistical programming languages is a strong plus
  • Experience in consumer survey and market data study is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills to deliver concise presentations with complex analyses and solid people skill to work with various cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English. Japanese fluency is mandatory, English fluency – business (reading/writing)
