Job Description

TIER IV has been working to refine its brand, develop an external communications basis for its products (Pilot.Auto/Web.Auto/ADK), and strengthen its recruitment branding. Although we have already stepped in to increase our recognition in the global market, we need to further advance our corporate branding, product marketing, recruiting, and employee engagement in terms of the strategies, planning, and execution to increase the value of TIER IV, its products, and related subsidiaries.

The Communication Design of TIER IV works closely with the Marketing and Communications team, Administration division, Business division, and Engineering division to maximize the value of TIER IV and the Group's brands. Your role involves working with each department and team to develop internal and external communication strategies for the brand and products and execute each project. You are responsible for the consistent execution of the brand and product communication strategy to the final output, always with a view to solving company-wide issues with a hands-on attitude.


Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the overall management of the brand and products, from internal and external communication strategies to the progress of each project.

  • The overall creative direction in the area of Communication Design
  • Strategy, planning, and execution in the Communication Design area
  • Selection and coordination of external collaborators
  • Create outputs by working with your own hands (You may specialize in one area of expertise. e.g. copywriting/graphic design/etc.)
  • Project management
  • Budget management/adjustment
  • Team formation/team management

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to create and direct
  • Proficient in Digital, Social, Movie, and Print advertising formats and top-of-class creative benchmarks
  • Minimum of 10 years of significant experience, including 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience in a quick-moving and cross-f
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Working experience with global teams
  • Experience working directly with talent and creators to collaborate on campaigns
  • Experience managing a high volume of creative projects in parallel
  • Significant experience in technology marketing, whether leading creative efforts to tell the stories of products and people to increase their values
  • Fluent in English & Conversational in Japanese

Currently, as a start-up, the environment requires you to take the initiative, work hard, and produce output. From another perspective, this is an environment where you can work without being limited to your own field, and a phase where you can create the environment you want to work in by yourself.

As an engineering-based organization, there is a need to improve the understanding of design and creativity within the company, but there are many cooperative people, and communication is easy.

If you can explain concepts and directions in a logical and easy-to-understand manner, and if you can actually work with your hands and discuss output-based issues, you will be able to get used to the environment.

Due to the influence of COVID-19, there are restrictions on immigration, approval of visa and residence qualification. TIER IV, a deep-tech startup based in Japan, is dedicated to sharing technology for safe intelligent vehicles that will benefit all of society by enabling as many individuals and organizations as possible to overcome the barriers of time and space to collectively bring autonomous vehicles into reality. Founded in December 2015, TIER IV has led the development of Autoware, the world's first open-source software for autonomous driving, and applied Autoware in applications of last-mile driverless mobility and logistics. Work Hours

  • Working hours: Flexible working hoursClosing time: 10:00 p.m.

Holidays

  • Holidays: 2 days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays), national holidays
