We are looking for a IT G2M Japan Data Analytics Lead who has a good understanding of Data Management, and analytic solution design and is detail-oriented to join us in our IT department, based in our UCB Japan office in Tokyo. 

About the Role 

The IT G2M Japan Data Analytics Lead is responsible for supporting our Go to Market (G2M) Data and Reporting initiatives. You will be responsible for partnering with the rest of the Data and Platforms Group to build foundational infrastructure, data governance, and master data management as inputs into business intelligence reporting.

Also, you will manage projects from start to finish and ensures successful implementation within the agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets.

Who You’ll Work With 

You will work with the IT department team, I2I insight to Impact team, to analyze requirements from business unit functions to improve our data management.

Also, you will work with external stakeholders to manage projects.


Responsibilities

  • Partnering with stakeholders (Commercial teams, Operational Excellence…) in various locations to identify areas of improvement and innovation in the commercial reporting area (new initiatives, or improvement of current solutions)
  • Partner with the rest of the Data and Platforms Group to build foundational infrastructure, data governance, and master data management as inputs into business intelligence reporting
  • Engage Data and Platform UCB partners as needed to ensure underlying foundational tools enable business intelligence reporting and advance analytics success criteria, collaborate across IT and units team to inform on the best information architecture
  • Partner with IT teams (Architecture, BI Center of Excellence, Operations and support teams) in various locations at all steps of project lifecycle to ensure consistency in tools and standards, smooth set up of solutions and appropriate transition to support and operations
  • Manages projects from start to finish and ensure successful implementation within agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of successful business data analysis, functional analysis, and project management
  • Good understanding of Data Ingestion/Management/Modeling and analytic solutions design (Erwin, KNIME...), Big Data platforms (Spark, Hadoop, SAP/HANA, etc), and BI visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Program language skill(SQL, Python, Etc)
  • Business English and Japanese Skills are required
  • Working in a regulated industry experience is preferred (ex. Pharma, Finance)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to collaborate across both IT and Science teams to inform on the best Information Architecture.
  • Understand business strategies, identify, and clarify business issues to determine analytic objectives, and structure and conduct analyses
  • Ability to think “big picture” and identify changes that will result in the largest impact for patients
  • Learning agility, and a proactive mindset
