Job Description

SW Project Manager is responsible for managing the planning and technical activities of the software development from the design phase till the complete integration, validation & start of production of the projects.

He/She is also expected to strengthen the bridge between the SW development team in the Overseas team and Japan team by making smooth communication.


Responsibilities

Methodology

  • Contributes to define and tailoring software processes for the project with SW Team Leader, Discipline Mgr and foreign development team based on Valeo standard process.

Management

  • Manage the resources of his/her software projects (status progress, tasks, …)
  • Validates and optimizes the workload plan for his/her projects
  • Drives the weekly meeting of his/her team

Technical Management

  • Contributes to identification of the required standard tools in accordance with SW Team Leader & Discipline Mgr.
  • Contributes to identification of the required make or buy strategy in accordance with SW Team Leader & SW Discipline Mgr.
  • Manage the SW Planning and action plan

Budget Management

  • Makes the estimation for the software development project in Japan
  • Follows up and tracks the budget

Reporting and Meeting Participation

  • Reports progresses, risks and issues of his/her project to the Software Team Leader
  • Report the status of Ticket Velocity
  • Support the R&D PTM in project reviews when needed
  • The customer interface related to software topics
