Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: DIGITAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

As a client facing, full-time Account Manager with focus on CX, UX and UI in our Tokyo office, you will play a crucial role in seamlessly integrating projects, people, timelines, and costs.

You'll work cross-functionally on user experience strategy, interaction design, and digital product development. Your focus will be on creating intuitive, engaging, and effective user experiences across various digital platforms, strategic planning, project management, and effective communication. Additionally, you'll be responsible for generating new business and converting leads, embracing a startup mentality to build and scale the team and operations.

It's essential to keep staying ahead of digital trends, implementing best practices, and driving innovation in our digital offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities and convert leads into clients.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Understand client needs and present innovative solutions.
  • Maintain high standards of client service, teamwork, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Lead the UX design process for websites, ecommerce platforms, and mobile apps.
  • Conduct user research, create user personas, and develop user journey maps.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for digital products.
  • Implement and maintain design systems for consistency across digital platforms.
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback.
  • Stay updated on the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Mentor juniors and contribute to the growth of the UX team.
  • Ensure all digital products meet accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Identify potential clients and proactively reach out to build relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling pitches and proposals for UX/UI projects.
  • Manage client relationships and upsell additional services when appropriate.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts to promote the company's UX/UI capabilities.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for UX/UI projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in creative agency or leading a team in similar tasks.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development, preferably in a creative or tech-related field.
  • Startup mentality with the ability to build and scale teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design for websites, ecommerce, and mobile apps.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX work across various digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Principle, or Framer.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (for effective collaboration with developers).
  • Understanding of user-centered design processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for digital products.
  • BSc. or MSc. in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in an agile environments and teams.
  • Ability to balance creative design thinking with business objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.

Language Requirements

  • Business-level Japanese (BJT J1 or J1+ or native).
  • Proficiency in English (minimum TOEIC 850).
