Job Description
BIRTH is seeking a creative and reliable Graphic Designer / Video Editor to support our group of subsidiaries focused on modern, innovative education. In this role, you will design for print, web, and social media, as well as edit video content for a variety of projects. Video shooting may also be included if it aligns with your skills and interests. You will collaborate closely with our team to bring concepts to life while also working independently on assigned tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent), proven video editing ability, and a keen eye for detail. Fluency in English is required, with Japanese proficiency preferred. This is a freelance or project-based position, requiring approximately 15–20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work remotely while joining our Tokyo office once a week for 4–8 hours.

Responsibilities
- Design creative assets for print, social media, and web platforms.
- Edit video content for promotional, educational, and social use.
- (Optional) Assist with video shooting and production when needed.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute creative concepts.
- Ensure visual consistency across multiple projects and subsidiaries.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Join weekly in-office sessions (4–8 hours) for collaboration and planning.
- Incorporate feedback to refine and improve design and video output.
Qualifications
- Strong graphic design skills with Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent tools)
- Experience in print design (posters, marketing ads, etc...)
- Proven video editing ability; shooting skills a plus but not required
- Fluent in English; Japanese proficiency preferred
- Highly detail-oriented, reliable, and adaptable
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Based in Tokyo and available for weekly in-office work (hybrid style)
