Job Description
DNK is a property management system tailored for countries in the Asia-Pacific region, streamlining operations with tools for management, marketing, leasing, and building operations. The DNK platform supports rental property owners and managers by combining global standards with local nuances, including language, currency, and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work remotely in Japan to design and implement intergrations with domestic service provides including but not limited to the fields of property and asset management.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in backend technologies.
- Propose, design, and execute backend changes that benefit the overall customer and developer experience.
- Assist in software delivery services and processes that are robust and manageable by other product engineers.
- Collaborate remotely with like-minded software engineers to meet business requirements.
- Work remotely with the Product team and other stakeholders to implement new features and services internationally and domestically.
- Design and improve complex systems, focusing on performance, scalability, flexibility, and security.
Qualifications
- Experience intergration work including Japanese API service providers.
- Experience with reading and understanding developer documentation written in Japanese.
- Approximately 2+ years of experience with modern languages/frameworks including but not limited to Spring Boot.
- Approximately 2+ years of experience building modern web applications.
- Experience working with Docker.
- Familiarity with using cloud-based platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with unit and end-to-end testing and the ability to analyze public APIs.
- Strong attention to detail, performance, and quality.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.

- Interest in applying the latest software solutions to product-driven problems.
- Ability to adapt existing products to operate smoothly within the evolving backend development field.
- Full-stack application development experience (NextJs, React, Vue, etc.).
- CI/CD implementation experience (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Examples of your work that demonstrate your experience in building backend applications.
