Job Description
This role supports the business by proactively identifying relevant opportunities, bringing the right information into the company at the right time, and helping turn it into practical action.
Incubion operates across both domestic and international markets, and the company needs to continuously adapt its focus areas, business targets, and project priorities in response to changes in the market and business environment. This means regularly researching grants, accelerators, business competitions, external communication opportunities, and business development opportunities, then identifying which options are worth pursuing in light of the company’s current direction, sharing them at the right time, and helping move them forward through applications, preparation, communications, and operational follow-through.
We are looking for someone who can understand changes in the business, think proactively about what needs to be done, and work across research, external communication, materials preparation, and operational execution. Rather than producing idealized plans, we value practical judgment: the ability to find reliable information within limited time, prepare what is needed independently, and turn it into tangible progress.
What This Role Offers
- The opportunity to work across the full cycle from information gathering to practical execution in a fast-changing business
- A role close to the company’s decision-making, with the ability to contribute to work that influences business direction
- Cross-functional experience spanning grants, external communications, business development support, and operational management
- Broader hands-on experience in external communication, including practical use of English
- A practical understanding of how a startup business is actually run across both external-facing work and internal operations
Responsibilities
- Research and organize domestic and international market trends
- Identify and propose relevant grants, accelerators, business competitions, and similar opportunities
- Handle external communications in Japanese and English, including press releases, owned media content, and website updates
- Support communication with domestic and international business contacts, including email correspondence and materials preparation
- Support exhibitions, external events, and related operational work
- Prepare application materials, submission documents, and presentation materials
- Support day-to-day business operations across areas such as administration, accounting, legal coordination, procurement, and government-related matters
- Support other business operations as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least 3 years of professional experience in one or more relevant areas, such as sales / business operations, corporate communications, or international coordination
- Strong written and professional communication skills in Japanese (approximately JLPT N1 level)
- Ability to write in English and handle external email communication in English (approximately CEFR B2~C1 level)
- Ability to independently research, organize information, and prepare practical materials
- Ability to understand changing business priorities and respond with flexibility
- Ability to identify issues and opportunities proactively, and take initiative in proposing and carrying out next steps
- Practical proficiency with spreadsheets, presentation tools, and document creation tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with grant applications, business planning support, or external proposal preparation
- Experience working in a startup or small-team environment
- Experience in communications, content creation, or website operations
- Experience supporting overseas business development or handling business work in English
- Interest in robotics, technology, or B2B services
