As a Business Professional (Project Manager/Product Manager), you will help prepare Sakana AI for the opportunity to impact a broad ecosystem of companies and government agencies in Japan and globally. For this business role, we are seeking candidates who are passionate about the long-term research and development of AI and capable of addressing long-term, sustainable opportunities as we move forward.
This is a full-time position based in Japan, regardless of the candidate’s background. Business-level or higher Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 level is a guideline) is required. Business-level English proficiency is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to solve difficult business challenges using AI.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic business partners and pioneer new business opportunities.
- Lead the planning and execution of company-wide product management and Go-To-Market strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience in one of the following areas:
- (i) Experience in fundraising, M&A, or IPO at a global investment bank.
- (ii) Experience working with major Japanese corporations at a top-tier global management consulting firm.
- (iii) Experience in business development or product management in Japan at a startup or global tech company (AI-related experience is a plus).
- A passion for using generative AI models, such as LLMs and AI Agents.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related field. A degree in Computer Science or Machine Learning is a strong plus.
