Job Description

Traveloka is seeking a Creative Designer who can translate deep insights of Japanese users into compelling visual concepts and campaign creatives. This role requires a balance between creative intuition and disciplined execution: you will localize and develop visuals that resonate emotionally with Japanese audiences while adhering to Traveloka’s global brand guidelines.

You will collaborate closely with the Campaign Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, and regional creative teams to produce and adapt campaign key visuals (KVs) and channel-specific assets across digital and offline touchpoints. The ideal candidate has strong aesthetic judgment, understands Japanese youth culture and visual trends, and can communicate effectively with both local and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Creative Development & Localization

  • Conceptualize and design campaign key visuals (KVs) for monthly campaigns and partner promotions (airlines, hotels, etc.)
  • Adapt global creative concepts to the Japanese market while maintaining brand consistency
  • Develop visual assets for multi-channel use, including app banners, social media, digital ads, and OOH

Asset Production & Revision

  • Create and resize assets for various channels and formats (Meta, YouTube, LINE, display ads, etc.)
  • Manage quick turnaround revisions to meet campaign timelines
  • Maintain a consistent visual tone across campaigns and verticals

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Campaign Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, and Product teams to ensure creative alignment with campaign strategy
  • Partner with the Regional/Global Creative and Brand teams to uphold brand standards and ensure creative quality
  • Provide cultural and visual insights from Japan to the central creative team to enhance global understanding of local users

Quality Control & Asset Management

  • Ensure all materials meet technical requirements and quality standards before delivery
  • Manage and organize creative files and archives for efficient future use

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in graphic design or creative production, preferably in digital marketing, e-commerce, or consumer brands
  • Experience working in fast-paced campaign environments with multiple concurrent projects

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative field

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Familiarity with design for digital platforms (web, app, social, display ads)
  • Experience in motion graphics or video editing is a plus
  • Understanding of brand systems and creative localization processes

Soft Skills

  • Strong visual storytelling ability rooted in Japanese culture and consumer insight
  • Excellent attention to detail, layout, and typography
  • Effective communicator with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deliverables and tight timelines

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in Japanese; business-level English proficiency required for collaboration with regional/global teams
