Junior Frontend Developer (Blockchain Stream)

Job Description

Role: Junior Frontend Developer

We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to build modern, performant UIs with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui. You’ll ship features, handle basic real-time functionality, and contribute to CI/CD. We value proactive problem-solvers who can work from Figma or are able to create clean UI without it.

Location: Osaka Japan or Brazil time zones open to relocation to Japan.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces in Next.js (App router), Typescript, Tailwind and shadcn/ui.
• Own new features as the end to end implementation of it
• Work directly from figma or prototype without it, being able to recreate and customize shadcn/ui components to fit the system design.
• Communicate with the PostgreSQL Database using Drizzle for CRUD operations
• Build and maintain authentication flows (sessions, tokens, oAuth/providers, protected routes)
• Add real-time features with WebSockets
• Collaborate via Git: create branches, open/read/review PRs, maintain clear histories
• Contribute to CI/CD (lint, type check, tests, previews, deployments)
• Identify UX/performance improvements and fix bugs across devices/browsers

Qualifications

• Solid JS/TS, React, and Next.js 15 fundamentals (components, routing, data fetching, API routes)
• Tailwind and component libraries knowledge (shadcn/ui preferred)
• Git fluency (PR workflow, conflict resolution)
• Authentication fundamentals (e.g., NextAuth/Auth.js, JWT, OAuth)
• Basic WebSockets and CI/CD fundamentals
• Strong HTML/CSS/a11y and performance basics
• Professional Working English Proficiency

Nice to Have

• Tests: unit/component/E2E (Jest/Vitest, RTL, Playwright/Cypress)
• Projects or preview experiences with Zod (validation), Zustand (state), shadcn/ui, Framer Motion (motion.dev)
• Blockchain experience; familiarity with Cardano or Utxo blockchains If you are
• Ownership-driven, concise communicator
• Passionate about quality in user interfaces
• Bias to action; iterates quickly; gives and receives feedback well
• Clear communication and proactive mindset
• Comfortable using AI tools to boost productivity

About the Blockchain Stream

The Blockchain Stream is a team of Engineers who handles blockchain technology in the company, the products built from this stream ranges from SaaS that interacts with blockchain to backend services and smart contracts. As a Junior Frontend Developer you’ll be handling integration of ready to use API’s into Frontend frameworks and will learn how to use and interact with the blockchain directly.

We run Multiple services as smart contracts, indexers and nodes for our products in the backend. The frontend framework in multiple products is NextJS with Tailwind, TypeScript, and shadcn/ui components. All source code and packages are managed through GitHub, with CI/CD on GitHub Actions and deployments containerized with Docker on Google Cloud Provider.
