YouTube Channel Producer/Director (Japanese/English)

Job Description

Are you a visionary leader with a knack for turning creative ideas into reality? We're looking for a talented Bilingual Producer / Director to take the helm of our new educational YouTube format. This is a unique opportunity to lead the creative process from strategy to final publication, ensuring our content is engaging, high-quality, and on-brand.

Experience: Mid-level/senior

Monthly salary range: 666,000 - 800,000 JPY

Responsibilities

Your Mission:

• Creative Direction: Provide overall project management and creative direction for the channel.
• Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the content strategy and editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent stream of fresh content.
• Team Coordination: Work closely with the client as well as the research and writing team to plan video topics and production schedules.
• Directing: Lead and direct filming sessions, offering creative input to presenters and crew.
• Partnerships: Manage client relationships and negotiate brand partnerships to expand the channel's reach and revenue.
• Resource Management: Oversee the budget and allocate resources effectively to meet production goals.
• Final Approval: Have the final say on all content before it's published, ensuring it meets our quality standards.

Employment Details:

This role is Full-time in Tokyo. The position is based in our studio and office, but we're open to discussing a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Native Japanese speaker is a must.
• Fluent in business-level English.
• Proven experience in producing and directing digital content, preferably for YouTube or a similar platform.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience in budget management and client relations.
• A deep understanding of YouTube trends and audience engagement strategies.
